I really really enjoyed The Scenic's "Find Yourself Here." I have to say I love every song on this album. It actually reminded me of Ace Enders' new album in a way.
"Find Yourself Here" starts off perfectly with "Lights Out." So catchy, the "Whoa, whoa's" in the chorus will have you singing along with every listen. The second song, "The American Way", is also an attention grabber.
"Bon Voyage Mr. Bones" starts off with a calm beginning rapidly picks up speed once it at the chorus with chanting lyrics "Hey, for once, we are right where we belong." "Take Your Time" is the soft mellow song on the album. The piano in the song gives it a nice touch that makes it so soothing to listen to. "And We Collide" and "Hold Me Close" have a similar sound but are both unique, each having completely different lyrics. One about change and the other about trying to get someone to let you into their life.
"Notice Me" and "Direction" are my favorite songs off the album. I loved how "Direction" began with the lyrics "Breezy Sunday afternoon, I was strolling along the sidewalk strips." These are the two songs I caught myself listening to over and over again.
The rest of the songs, which include "Armageddon", "All My Friend's", and "Follow" are all excellent songs, each with good lyrics and rhythm. This is one album I know I'll be listening to quite a lot and I suggest you pick it up as soon as it comes out because I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Review by: Abby
