Charm City is a story of sorts, filled with relevant lyrics and sarcastic commentary in a second person point of view (ask your English teacher). It all takes place in one night at a church show with a cast of characters that were introduced in issues six through eleven. The people interact, story lines overlap and time skips around a bit, but it's easier to follow than you may think. For the most part everyone will see a bit of themselves in one of the characters. You can follow each "episode" here and read the newest one in the newest issue or just wait until I put it online. It sums up Baltimore, in a way, and that's why it's called "Charm City." Below is the intro from Issue Five, and on the left is each "episode."

introduction:

"They don't even know what it is to be a fan... you know to truly love some silly little piece of music or some band so much it hurts."

--Almost Famous

This is a chronicle of... EVERYTHING. This is not my life, this is theirs. Well actually it is it's life. This is about CHARM CITY. Where do you start when referring to the greatest city in the world? The OC's got NOTHING on us.

What can you say about a scene where the most important venue is a church where the most memorable landmark is the donut shop across the street? But that's where it all happens. That's where it all ends, and that's what everyone looks forward to two Saturdays a month, even if they won't admit it.

The main characters never change. The important ones, that is. The group of girls that EVERYONE love to hate, but they could be. The headlining band that the girls DROOL over. The opening band that just hopes SOMEONE will stay inside. The promoters that only pray NOTHING will go wrong. The first timers who have NO IDEA what they're in for and the rest who are just STARVING for attention.

This is the BALTIMORE SCENE and the best is yet to come.
